Terms of Service
Short version
TapThrough is an iOS app that gives you visual, tap-by-tap walkthroughs for tasks across iPhone and the apps you use. Pay a subscription or a one-time pack fee, follow the walkthroughs, get on with your day. We don't track you, we don't sell your data, and we won't hide weird clauses in the fine print — but the full terms below are the legally operative version.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Jedrock LLC, a California limited liability company (“Jedrock,” “we,” or “us”), governing your use of the TapThrough mobile application and this website (together, the “Service”). By downloading, installing, or using TapThrough, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
TapThrough is an instructional reference app. Each walkthrough is a sequence of screenshots of an iOS device, with a visual annotation indicating where to tap, captured by us against a specific version of iOS and (where applicable) a specific version of a third-party app. The Service is provided for educational and self-help purposes. We do not perform actions on your device on your behalf; you read the walkthrough and tap through the steps yourself.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to make any in-app purchase. TapThrough is not directed to children under 13; see Section 8 of our Privacy Policy.
4. Subscriptions and one-time purchases
4.1 Plans we offer
TapThrough offers the following paid plans through the Apple App Store:
- TapThrough Pro Monthly — US$4.99 per month, billed monthly. A 7-day free trial is offered to new subscribers. Provides access to all walkthroughs and all topic packs for the duration of the subscription.
- TapThrough Pro Annual — US$49.99 per year, billed annually. No free trial. Provides the same access as Pro Monthly (a savings of roughly 17% versus 12 months of Pro Monthly).
- Topic Packs — US$6.99 per pack, one-time purchase. Each pack (currently: Privacy, Kids' iPhone, Battery) unlocks lifetime access to the walkthroughs inside that pack on Apple IDs you own.
Prices may be different in your local currency; the App Store displays the actual amount you will be charged before you confirm the purchase.
4.2 Auto-renewing subscriptions — Apple-required disclosures
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price of the plan you selected.
- You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase (Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions).
- If you cancel an active subscription, you retain access until the end of the period you have already paid for; you will not receive a refund for the remaining time.
- Any unused portion of a 7-day free trial, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription before the trial ends.
4.3 Refunds
All purchases of TapThrough are made through Apple's App Store, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Jedrock cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases.
4.4 Price changes
We may change subscription prices for future billing periods. Apple will notify you, and you will have the opportunity to accept the new price or cancel before it takes effect, in accordance with the App Store's standard process.
5. License to use the app
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download and use TapThrough on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use. This license is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms; where Apple's EULA and these Terms conflict, the more restrictive provision controls.
6. What you may not do
You agree not to:
- Copy, redistribute, resell, publicly post, or commercially exploit walkthrough content (screenshots, annotations, step text) outside the app, except for fair-use quotation in personal communications.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Bypass, disable, or circumvent any access controls or payment mechanisms.
- Use the Service to violate the rights of any third party or to break the law.
- Use the Service in a way that interferes with or disrupts Apple's App Store infrastructure or our hosting providers.
7. Third-party apps, trademarks, and accuracy
TapThrough walkthroughs reference iOS, Apple services, and a number of third-party apps (for example, Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, Instagram) by name, by icon, and by screenshot, solely for the purpose of teaching you how to perform tasks within those apps. All such names, marks, logos, and screenshots are the property of their respective owners. TapThrough and Jedrock LLC are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partnered with Apple Inc. or any of the third-party app owners referenced in the Service.
Software updates from Apple and from third-party app vendors can change the user interface at any time. We aim to recapture affected walkthroughs quickly — usually within days of a release — but we cannot guarantee that every walkthrough perfectly matches what you see on your device at every moment. The Service is provided as a reference; you are responsible for verifying steps before taking irreversible actions on your device or accounts.
8. User feedback
If you send us feedback, bug reports, or suggestions via email or any other channel, you grant Jedrock a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use that feedback for any purpose, including improving the Service. You do not have to send us feedback, but if you do, we may act on it without obligation to you.
9. Changes to the Service
We may add, change, or remove walkthroughs, packs, features, or pricing at any time. We may also discontinue the Service entirely. If we discontinue the Service and you have a paid annual subscription, you may be entitled to a pro-rata refund of the unused portion through Apple, at Apple's discretion.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jedrock disclaims all warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that walkthrough content will always be accurate for the version of iOS or third-party app on your device at the time you view it.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jedrock and its officers, members, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, regardless of the legal theory.
Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid Jedrock or Apple for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US$50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions, the limitations above apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jedrock and its officers, members, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, or damage, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Service, or (c) your violation of any third party's rights.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15) will survive.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that is not subject to Apple's own dispute-resolution provisions will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Alameda County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking relief in small-claims court for qualifying disputes.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by another reasonable means at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the Service and cancel any active subscription.
16. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any in-app disclosures, constitute the entire agreement between you and Jedrock regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
